Qualcomm is supposed to be already working with GM on the next version of OnStar. Seems to me Q should consider a G* tie-in. It should be an especially easy add-on sale with all the SUV's, making it possible for them never to be out of touch even out in the far distant boonies the cell phone guys will never cover.

(Of course, it is true that most SUV's never go anywhere their driver would need G* instead of an ordinary cell phone, but that should not matter. These are the same people who pay thousands of dollars more for a vehicle that is less comfortable, less efficient, and less practical than a comparatively functional Taurus station wagon. It is all image and marketing.)
