AOL/TWX doing well this AM. . .from our Summer Port. . on Steve Case claiming he is in talks with A.T. & T. on providing broadband service to AOL. . . AOL needs this desperately.

Now if you look at my last post on ATHM, it reflects the traditional thinking. . .all the rumors of T and AOL and ATHM were merely that. . .unsubstantiated rumors. . .but now Case is claiming to be in talks. . .that is no longer a rumor. . . so suddenly we are back to turning our wheels on the subject.

ATHM could still be sold to AOL [it is moving now on this speculation]. . .as it would be a conflict of interest for ATT to provide service to other portals, while holding one of their own. . .T and its many divisions has only to gain from open access. And this would solve AOL's biggest challenge since its inception. . .how to get into broadband.

Bought some TWX/AOL. . .holding ATHM.
