JDN, Rambus sure is an enigma. Rudedog posted saying that the technology is in its infancy and will get better and better (something like that). Maybe, but thinking about it, the core part of the thing is memory storage cells, and there is only so much you can do with that, and nothing that the Hitachis, Samsungs, Hyundais etc. of the world can't do in other forms of DRAM. As far as the "big Rambus advantage", the narrow but super fast data I/O bus, the constraining part there is board layout technology, not the phenomenon itself. Like someone said, it would be nice to hear from a Rambus (or Intel) technologist.
