This MAN does what he says he will do, and quickly. I had a significantly personal reason for giving Dr. J. a standing ovation that might have been different from most of the others in the auditorium. When I think of all the press releases, all the statements made by management, and all the follow-up clarifications, I don't remember any of them ultimately having been intentionally misleading. Contrast that with the stuff that has come from so many of Qualcomm's competitors. More than once Dr. J. seriously or jokingly alluded to the importance of seeking out the truth. In the end, my standing ovation was for the understated way in which management has continually established its credibility. --Mike Buckley
