Ok Voltaire, I'm following your lead in my schooling on writing CC. I bought 100 shares of ELON at 87 this morning and wrote one april 95 CC for 15 3/8 this afternoon. Saw ~$1500 come into my account. Hey that was easy!

Now, most of what you have been saying I get. There are some gray areas tho. Lets say the stock goes up to 105. There is 10 points of appreciation from my strike to the current price of 105. How exactly can I take part in the appreciation again? From every angle that I can see the up side ceiling is only $1500. What about down side protection?

I've been reading almost every post about this and still don't get it. I little dense I guess.

Thanks for your patience
