Earlie, i have decided not to time it....i simply buy a few hundred far ootm index puts for every expiration cycle. i only time the actual entry points by using the mad-cap rallies of which we get more than enough anyway. i don't know when they will pay off, but i know one day they will...

regards,

hb

Earlie,

>>How much would any of us pay to listen in on conversations around the Fed's main offices these days? It must be the epitome of a "high stress" environment.<<

If I was partly responsible for putting the global financial system in peril I'd be stressed too. If the U.S. (or should I say when) blows up like Japan and simultaneously Japan is still sucking wind, it has much more than economic implications. Opportunists that can't even understand the problems and causes will find all sorts of things to blame it on for their own personal gain. And since the public doesn't understand what's going on now they won't understand what's going on later either. Who knows how that will play out politically - especially if it gets real bad. It's something that worries me. I hope I am wrong. (ng)
