DMA, Neocom, and Zoltan - thanks for your replies to my post # 14660 regarding the Bush vs McCain tax plans.

I failed to make myself clear. Bush must get himself elected by attracting independent and Democrat votes while inspiring Republicans to go to the polls instead of sitting on their hands on election day.

The Washington Post said today,

<<While Bradley made a clean break, the Arizona senator opted to put his campaign on hold in order to leave his options open. Aides said the tactic gives him leverage against Bush as he urges the GOP nominee to adopt his political reform agenda.>>

I am interested in viewpoints as to whether the Bush or McCain approach to tax cutting will attract the most votes. In view of the apparent attitude to save Social Security and reduce the debt, what, if anything should Bush learn from the McCain successes. What other McCain points attracted independents?

Regards

Wren
