Today's selling appeared to be a methodical distribution by a large institution. Nervous selling by small investors usually follows a different pattern.

We just have to wait until GS finishes reducing its stake in JDSU as declared.

Not bad overall, I think.

Gerald, If one has a lot of Cisco, MSFT, INTEL, in the portfolio, it is not that bad. It is only people who put all their eggs in one basket (or at least 1/2 of it) that get into real trouble and real nervous.

JDSU will have its day shortly as money gets shifted in and out of sectors. The Nasdaq fibre optic and biotechs were down today but it is only the last couple of days. Once people start taking profits on the bigger caps, it frees up a lot of cash to put elsewhere.
