P.S. There are a lot of rumors flying around at RB, Yahoo! and here today (less here) that CSCO is going to take PG's place in the DOW.

LOL! Yes I saw that one too. That would be petty amazing if they actually do it. If they do, then I think it's time to abandon the 'new economy/old economy' mindset because that's too dated. Now we have to start worrying about concentration of markets around 'new tech/old tech'. As such, I think it would be good to start a rumor that NTAP is going to take IBM's place in the Dow!<g>

As a Republican (yes, twister I really am a Nixon Republican - a full-on <new economy> capitalist at the core of an Earth First borg colony - the lone baritone horn in amongst the congas), I'm finding myself I think where a lot of others are and that's in the position, when given the choice between Bush and Gore, voting for Gore. If someone would have told me 10 years ago, or 10 months ago that I would be voting for Al Gore in the presidential general election, I would have laughed. I'm thinking this isn't all that funny now. <g> -JCJ

Dear Lynn: Yes, I am feeling better since SUNW at least finished UP in an incredibly good day on the NAS. However, I think its time for SUNW to make a move. Its been hanging around here in the 90's for at least a month (havent actually checked but it feels like AGES). If CSCO wasnt moving (with its even higher PE) I wouldnt say anything, but frankly I would like SUNW to AT LEAST maintain the ratio with CSCO's pe that its had for at least a year.
As to the primaries, I would have preferred that McCain thrown his weight behind Bush as Bradley did with Gore. IMHO McCain/Bush have a hell of a lot more in common than Bradley/Gore. For the life of me, I do not see how someone could say they would vote for Gore over Bush unless they are a minority or a union worker. That segment will likely feel that Gore will give them something the rest of us will pay mightily. JDN
