Ben - [[Skeets, to amplify the point you made about raw computer power not necessarily doing anything: I used to run MSWord 4.0 on a '286. Now I do virtually the same thing (but prettier) on a PIII-550. Actual productivity increase: 0%. Technical: whatever their "formula" dictates (the CPU alone is more than 100 times faster). I would never have believed there was a fudge factor in the GNP until I frequented this forum.
