Hi Maurice I hope all is well with you. Here is a little news from the competition. I hope for all holders of GSTRF this doesn't happen to your company.

All/Maurice<OT> First, Thanks for those whom wished me a "warm welcome".. Not that I expected it.. After all, when one is a "outspoken" contrarian to the main stream idealism.. He/She is usually tied up and burned at the stake...

Anyway to answer your question Maurice......No real surprise with MSFT.. After all, it was you that said "Oh my God, QCOM is climbing into bed with the devil himself" (or something to that effect) when QCOM announced the JV with MSFT for Wireless Knowledge.. I was just as outspoken about the JV on the QCOM Yahoo Thread.. After INTC and Phillips snapped up DSPC and VLSI for their "resale" CDMA ASIC liscenses, then the value of a relationship with QCOM became 'self evident'.

The biggest surprise that came out of the shareholders meeting was a concept that I have been touting for some time.. That is "dynamic spectrum management".. And this is the first time that I heard IJ talk about it. True time of day, cell independent management of "channelized" spectrum.. So that spectrum can be assigned dynamically between HDR (data only), and IS-95 Voice/Data. So WHEN QCOM announces the ability of Video On Demand / Cable TV access over IS-95.. The flexibility of the network will be able to accomodate "time of day" network traffic/spectrum management. This is a "Killer Application"..

We actually meet a few Shareholder Meetings ago.. at Jasmines I believe...I hope you enjoy the remainder of your stay here in San Diego, and a safe flight back to NZ.. (By the way... Those Challenger finals/semis' were quite exciting.. especially, Prada and America One.. The NZ/Prada finals were good for catching up on "nap time" though..

Good Luck all,
PCSTEL
