>>I have a few friends that are very unhappy with Schwab.<<

I've heard that Schwab is pretty fair with fills, usually giving price-improvement on limit orders on at least part of the order. However, confirmation times are typically as much as 10 minutes. Not something you could daytrade with.

>>I had time to drive over there because my cable Internet feed was down this morning. Sheesh.<<

Good idea to have a backup, if only dialup. I've been using AltaVista FreeAccess, but there's others. One of these is supposed to be banner-free and uses windows DUN (either worldspy or first.at):

microav.com
first.at
worldspy.com
freelane.excite.com

>>I found a new place today. Local place with their own satellite and server. Good people. I'm going to spend some time over there and see if it works as well as it looks like it works.<<

I'd be interested to hear what you find out.

I found a new place today. Local place with their own satellite and server.

I, for one, frankly, was unaware that Flamfoozy had a brokerage house. I find myself...nonplussed.
