Aus and thread, I received my Epson 850 from Buy.com yesterday, spent last night charging the batteries and, for the first time, tonight played with it.

As a GenXer would say, it is way cool.

I have a couple of preliminary questions:

1) If I set it in manual or program mode, which I have to do with the LCD screen, and then switch to the viewfinder, will the camera keep the settings I set in LCD mode? The instructions aren't clear.

2) The CompactFlash card is awesome. Do I need to take any special precautions with it. I know it can be dropped, shaken, stirred, etc. <G>, but if I stick it in my pocket, do I have to worry about lint getting in the little holes?

I am sure I will have more questions as I begin to really use the camera, but for now, digital photography is awesome.
