I hear you Boaz regarding the "old days."

For now I think it is a relative valuation exercise, not that rel. val. is easy. I don't have access to my spreadsheet tonight but will give some examples tomorrow. It is clear that data consolidation and smart retrieval is one of the most valuable products of this information technology driven economy. In hindsight it would have been prudent to buy a basket of these companies. You have several, don't you?

This one arguably remains the cheapest on a price to sales basis, even after more than doubling in 10 trading days.

Many of the reasons why I like this have not yet been realized by the market. I think the Commerce One association will be fruitful for Sagent. Even without it bearing fruit SGNT is growing its license revenue faster than anyone else in the OLAP universe.

Mindful that pigs get slaughtered, I think it is very early to think about selling. One of the easiest mistakes to make when you are early is to underestimate the strength of the undervaluation/overvaluation pendulum. We have moved from extreme undervaluation quickly in the last two days but are not yet at the midpoint of the pendulum. I would start selling at my judgement of fair value. We aren't there yet in my view. What do you think?
