When a person is in love, it is difficult to persuade that the object of his/her affection has warts.

Steve has stated that he has a computer-related enterprise. If he has, then he knows that there has been zero acceptance of RMBS in the field and he also knows that it simply can't and doesn't deliver consequential performance enhancements over SDram, (never mind DDram) in a normal PC environment. Given its 4-5 times greater price tag, it is a joke. Intel has spoken both with its actions (dual plug-in chipsets that accept both Rdram and Sdram) as well as its private correspondence with its clients (in which it has as much as admitted that Sdram performance will more or less match Rdram performance in current board/micro situations).

There are now 4 separate independent tests that have confirmed what I have been saying for many moons. For the PC environment, Rambus is an expensive orphan that does not provide consequential benefits (except to Intel when it sells all that stock).

I love the way the test results and non-acceptance in the field have been dodged by the bulls to this point in time.

Delighted to see that you underlined the rather interesting lineup of players in the new standard setting group.

Another Presstek situation in the making. (g)

Best, Earlie
