I'm sure Doug Cooper would say that about any "mainstream software" producer. I'll bet you that Inprise has been "in talks" with INTC for years too. They've been wanting their software to work with Intel chips before Corel even existed. The fact that Doug Cooper said anything is irrelevant. The part that is relevant is that Cowpland shot his mouth off again.

He shows up to meetings with his windows 98 OS (while presenting the glory of Corel Linux, the next desktop OS), he says the company is on track (so that a few days later he can say they aren't) and now he's touting something with Intel. The moral of the story: if your company can't stand on its own merit, stretch the truth. Cowpland is a disaster!
