Steven, I was first attracted to the conservative cause because they were against an all-encompassing federal government, that tried to foist that "cradle to the grave security" garbage onto society at the expense of individual initiative, and states rights. I am a devout Christian but believe that is a personal thing that government should not have anything to do with. OTOH, I can not abide a government that makes the murder of unborn children legal. These days, the feds are taking the side of degeneracy against morality, which is no more fair than the other way around. All I can suggest you do is select the position of the party that is closest to what you believe. The Libertarians don't have a chance of electing anyone so, they have to make a choice of some sort. Surely, the liberal position of wanting to control every facet of your life is not acceptable. These times do cloud the issues and, sometimes the candidates. We can only hope, and in my case, pray for the best. ~H~

There are only two kinds of politicians. Those who want statism expanded and those who don't.

When you cut away all the b.s. it really is as simple as that.
