That, I believe, is a quotation from the 1950's edition of the book which was subsequently removed. The critic's hindsight is clearly 20/20, but in most of the areas Samuelson worked on (and he founded quite a few branches of Economics and Finance) his foresight was damn near 20/20.

Einstein found errors in Newton's model, Hawking in Einstein's. I have decided to start depending on Web sites for my physics information, as clearly Newton and Einstein were no good error mongers. ;-)
