Paul:

Quick Response: AMD last I saw was projecting 9 million Athy's in Y2000. Subsequently, Salomon, Smith Barney projected 12.5 million...No doubt AMD will ship 10 million Athys in Y2000 with or without Xbox (which is likely very thin on margins). Ten million Athys at normal Athy margins will ensure earnings minimum of $4.00, and if flash remains strong throughout the year, $7.00 could be had!

Do you not believe that AMD will meet their target of 9 million Athys in Y2000 Paul? I do and such performance exceeds all reasonable implied forecasts made last fall by the likes of yourself and your cronies, doesn't it Paul?

In fact Paul, Salomon Smith Barney may be closer at 12.5 million which may stretch ATHY production to its limits in Y2000 given that Dresden is only in its initial stages of ramping up! If 12.5 million Athys get shipped in Y2000, it's probably safe to suggest that AMD will have shipped all the Athys that they could produce at this stage of the ramp-up wouldn't you think Paul? I mean it's just not as straight forward executing production as some of you Intel guys found out the hard way with your PWeeIII 733 and above continuing production fiasco!

By the way Paul, did you ever confirm any of our bets...Looks like that INTC/AMD ratio of 2/1 is within striking distance...Did you roll out of Intel into AMD, Paul while AMD was under $40 or are you waiting for the INTC/AMD ratio to break 2/1?
