They look like excellent decision makers to me <grin>.

More seriously, PS2 and X Box, with their Internet access, pose both a threat and opportunity for Intel. I believe there will always be a hard wired (cable or copper) Internet access machine in the home. For every "game unit" that is sold, it has the potential to add or subtract a unit sale for Intel.

Microsoft just upped the anty, with a true PC microprocessor and a hard drive, this is essentially an alternate use PC. Sony (and Sega and ????), in their next model, will have little choice but to follow.

So I see the win as more than a specific unit design win, but also a win for the x86 platform, always a good thing for Intel.
