You said it BP. The most intriguing question about Clinton is, what's wrong with him? I think clearly there's some serious defect in his thinking process. Dumb doesn't describe it, psychopath might.

I believe Hillary is his crutch and she has enabled him to function in a way that appears semi-normal. Without her he'd either be in jail or some other institution.

Things must be put in their proper categories. The concept I explicated was not a complex one, and answers your first question.

The second is simply a matter of what the majority of the electorate perceives to be in its self-interest, I suspect. And the phenomenon of successfully manipulating the majority of the electorate is not unknown.

You might as well ask the question, "And how DUMB must an electorate be to elect a moron?" It happens.
