RS: Could you comment on the proposed conversion of Lockheed preferred to common (possible starting a few days ago) and the potential sale of Lockheed's ownership represented by those shares beginning in the middle of May.

Assume the first step has no direct impact on the price of the common now - as the conversion takes place but Lockheed retains ownership.

Also assume that what impact the sale by Lockheed has after the middle of May depends on whether that sale takes place in the open market to someone who will hold or to Loral itself.

Are these assumptions reasonable?

Do you have some ideas as to what may actually happen on the Lockheed transaction?

Best.

Chaz

PS And is it correct that the Congress has now passed a bill which if signed by the Pres (and the prediction is he will do so) permit all this (among other things) to happen?

Rocket Scientist,

Nice find. This could signal the beginning of a conversion rally. They withold news then release it later in a barrage to pump the price during the offering, after the market has priced the dilution in, which it just has (or nearly so). Could be a huge buying op here.

For the slightly expanded version of my reasoning:
