Merrill Lynch

Negative market speculation post an analyst meeting hosted yesterday by the company
in San Francisco

In our view, there was nothing said to bring up this speculation. Share are down to
EUR870 today

Company is currently in quiet period until the 1Q results are released on 19th April,
followed by a 2 day new product conference starting on the 24th April in Berlin

Management stated common sense should be used regarding recent competitor
announcements on various market portal establishments (Commerce One, Oracle, Ariba)
He states that it is easy to set up the sites but takes time to gain visibility on the benefits.
SAP generally tend to downplay news until they have all the details to hand.

Expect shares to remain volatile ahead of the results. We would remain strong buyers
particularly on weakness.
