David- The wireless devices market is reaching mania proportion. I need to get a better grasp of the figures myself. There is much talk about wireless devices become the most common way to access the Internet, surpassing all connections today. Hence the little conversation I linked to on the Last Mile thread.

I hope I'm correct about this...if you notice all the wireless devices companies listed in my wireless OS post, I'm fairly certain CTXS has reached agreements for ICA to be placed on all of the device manufacturer's products. Including the Palm. But in searching the CTXS website, I can't seem to find that news. There is a lot of info on the site, so maybe I missed it.

What this means, is all these devices can be sold with their unique applications specifically written for that platform. Unique in the fact they are written for that particular manufacturers OS and product. Well toss in ICA and suddenly you can take all these gazillion wireless devices, with all their different operating systems, and hit the company server for access to full blown Windows/UNIX/Java apps.

The wireless devices market is somewhat at the same stage as Citrix's involvement in the ASP market. Similar because it's clear the value CTXS can add to the ASP market, but no real revenues have been generated. Same with wireless devices.

With the current excitement about wireless devices, I won't be surprised if the topic comes in up Q1 2000 CC. -MikeM(From Florida)
