Jim, I had the somewhat mean thought that Intel will be saving up all the reject parts from the cranked process lines trying to yield 800/1000mhz cumines to dump in x-boxes. That wouldn't be very efficient, of course, but again, 600 mhz in fall '01 looks to mean very low end.

The Register had a nice take on some of the x-box contradictions, see theregister.co.uk . All very vaporous still, I'd say.
