i cut this one out... i'm going to frame it:

Before the 10-day vacation was over he had taught himself to trade tech
stocks on a laptop computer, using a Charles Schwab account. He would
go in and out of some stocks daily, sometimes taking the names straight
from CNBC.

"It didn't seem risky to buy a couple of hundred shares," Mr. Ettinger says.
"What do you have to lose if you buy shares of something that's going up?"

By vacation's end he was buying 500 and 600 shares in the morning, then
leaving the condo in the afternoon for tennis or inline skating. He has kept
trading actively and rapidly since, sometimes rushing across the street from
his school to his home office to check stock quotes.

He cruises the Internet for research and analysis, although he avoids chat
rooms and message boards because he feels they include too much
random "noise." He holds a big position in Oracle that he will add to and
subtract from, depending on how the market is moving. He says he feels
"comfortable" and "in control" investing on the Web.

Almost all of his stock portfolio is in technology and biotech Friday. "Even
if there's a correction, I can't believe that I wouldn't have at least 40% or
50% in tech," he says.

Yeah i would like to look at that every morning (g). I am setting here kicking myself. I jumped on VASO the other day and promptly watched it lose about 4K. I was looking at it all morning at 8ish and thinking " hell it's only money". Been printing out a manual for the last hour and just looked at the stuff. It's at 11. Damn I am good -s-
