Jim- We were successful in our conversation. Successful in the fact it made me think about my points, and think about your points. I still am of the camp that money drives technology rollouts. Not the other way around. Bad way to word it, but I think you know what I mean.

BTW, on a humorous note. The TeraBeam concept was first purposed by Alexander Graham Bell about one hundred years ago. There is an actual working prototype in a museum. It's in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I got a major kick out of it.

Alexander was quoted as saying it was going to be more important, as an invention, than the telephone. I'm pretty sure he made a call on it from his house to to one across the street(kind of like a Last Mile situation). It did have a big problem. It would only work on sunny days. But isn't that one of the drawbacks of TeraBeam too?<g> -MikeM(From Florida)

Hi Jim,

Re: Pity the investor who makes the wrong choice.

Gilder emphatically states in his newsletter today that the Terabeam advance will doom the LMDS players. And how does Mr. Market react to all this tempest in a tea pot? NXLK is up 12%, WCII up 6%, TGNT up 2%. For companies that are about to go out of business, the stocks seem to be doing quite well....... Today, no one could make the wrong choice. Sm:)e
