You have posted an entirely unexceptionable passage, outlining a rather undistinctive position, evidently under the impression I would find it surprising in some way. Does the interviewer in this interview ask Olasky whether he believes the Bible to be inerrant and infallible? He does. I do believe he takes an absolutist position on abortion, unlike yours or mine (and ours differ), but like Christopher Hodgkin's. That is, no exceptions at all, including for rape or incest. I can't remember CH's position on the life of the mother. Olasky opposes gay rights, I understand, so I dare say gays are concerned about his ethics-advisor position. I imagine he agrees with George Bush, who has expressed the view that Jews can't get into heaven. He does seem to have written quite a bit about social problems, no question about that, and about writing. Here's a quote on his views about Christian journalism: ?Biblically, there is no neutrality. ? Christian reporters should give equal space to a variety of perspectives only when the Bible is unclear,? writes Olasky. I have no dislike for Olasky. I suspect he's a good person, though not one I want to have power over me or my life. But I think W will probably do what he wants to rather than what his ethicist says he should, unless what his ethicist says suits him. Just a guess. I don't know why you posted that, btw.
