So what? They have an agreement with Palm Island to develop the necessary software to activate econnects swipe device on palm pilot devices. That is very good and important news. What are you trying to make of it??? chuckr

If you were in software business as you are in stock shorting an time spending on these boards you would understand, that having API (that is the code you are referring to) for free doesn't mean much. Microsoft has the code to develop programs for free too. But if you have a support from the company, that owns the device, you are WAY ahead of all the people, that are trying to do it "for free". Because, after spending 3 hours, trying to figure out, why the device doesn't respond to your command you are left with 2 choices: 1. Leave the damn problem; 2. CALL FOR SUPPORT. Now, when you call for the support, the first question you will be asked "What is name of your company?". And the WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU FOR FREE. That you may be sure of. You should now that yoursef. (You are not saving us all for free here, right). So, bottom line is, just this little innuendo of yours, "for free" it is, doesn't stand even plain criticism. I can imagine about the rest of your "report". Val. P.S. It is not in the report it's in the motives, that led him to it.
