Someone "bought" and someone "sold" on every transaction or is that too elementary a concept?

Well, Bill, someone most certainly bought and sold. But this is not the NYSE that these options were traded on. It was an options exchange. That means that one side of this transaction was a "market maker". Therefore, there is absolutely no way to tell whether this was, in fact, a "bullish" of "bearish" trade.
