book on MO is understated...my guess is that the Gen. Foods/Kraft part could be spun off at more than you pay for MO now. once the class action suit is history, i expect just such a spin-off. note that the CEO recently bought big...23 m. bucks worth of shares, and he paid more than i did.
their cash flow is enormous...it's probably the biggest corporate cash cow on the planet.
the news situation is so bad, it can probably only get better.
i agree, they could go much lower in a BK. but i'm playing things both ways. if we do get a BK, my hedges will more than make up for my potential losses.
in the meantime i'm buying whatever looks attractive to me.
a mixture of trash and value stocks...whichever scenario develops, i have some eggs in every basket.
