Jim,

This is not directed at you, but I kind of laugh at all the posts about how people living in straw huts in So. Am. or India, with no money or electricity will be able to afford a G* call, "they" won't. But they will if the government provides some type of subsidized sat phone booth, which to me SHOULD BE a VERY REAL possibility.

After all, if often times believed that governments should try and provide the basic infrastructures for life~ shelter, food, water, etc...And I think these dirt poor villages should be able to make a phone call.

I do not want to get into a discussion of politics of what government should or should not do, because I think you all know what I mean. Besides, didn't someone say India is looking at doing exactly that!?

MileHigh

Call me crazy, but why can't someone start a business erecting sat phone booths in these type of places/situations!?
