THQ Expands International Presence With New Office in Australia; Martin
Good Named General Manager of THQ Australia/New Zealand

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif., Mar 13, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- THQ Inc.
(Nasdaq:THQI)
today announced the expansion of its international operations with a new
office
in Melbourne, Australia to directly serve the Australian market.

Additionally, THQ announced that Martin Good, formerly of GT Interactive,
has
been named General Manager of the Melbourne office.

THQ will continue to ship product in Australia/New Zealand through its
distributors until June 30, 2000. Beginning July 1, 2000, THQ will ship
product
directly to key accounts. THQ now has international offices in England,
Germany,
France and Australia. International revenue continues to grow for THQ,
representing 24.4% of THQ's total revenue for 1999, up from 13.5% for 1998.

"THQ Australia is the next step in our international growth strategy,"
stated
Tim Walsh, vice president of International, THQ. "Our direct relationships
in
the four largest international markets should increase our margins and our
ability to manage our product line."

Good's experience includes positions with GT Interactive (GTI), BMG
Interactive,
New Image Industries and Ansett Australia Airlines. His tenure at GTI
included
positions as marketing and regional sales manager and most recently,
national
sales director. He was instrumental in building GTI Australia into one of
the
leading video game distributors in Australia.
