I already had--immediately after posting to you. I keep hearing directly and indirectly from Europeans and Brits, of the United States Markets, "You are holding us all up; we all depend on you." I don't think any market in the world is likely to rise in the event of an American collapse. Maybe some oil and metal segments in Canada, Australia, and elsewhere,

Hi Bill, I read your Rap every day and thought I would give you a TRUE story for your chronicals.

I am a public accountant and both of these stories are about clients of mine so I have to withhold the names to protect the innocent. <G>

I had a client come in yesterday who had made $400K plus on ONE stock in the last few months and is looking for a double. He says it is all about MOM and he is hanging in...plus he does not want to have to pay the taxes. He has been in the market for about 3 years so his experience is VERY limited.

Now this one is a beaut! So help me it is TRUE... I will even take a polygraph. VBG

This cleint calls me last Monday about one he had put $40k in at $4 per share and was trading then at $75 per share. He wanted to know if I thought he should sell it. He stated that this was his FIRST ever stock and bought it because a friend of his was buying some. Now this guy is a big time gambler (loser) at the tracks and casinos(his wife bailed him out of about $300K gambling losses and then divorced him last year). I asked what was the name of the stock. He COULD NOT REMEMBER but it started with an "S". I finally figured out through trial and error that he was referring to SCON. That means he has made over $700K since Dec 99. I told him not to ask me but to ask the guy who put him on it. Now here is the kicker. He does not even have an account with a broker! He gave a friend the money who had an account and had him buy it for him.

Time for me to quit.
