I hope you're right.

Who knows what it means. Whatever it means, it wasn't reflected in Sun's earnings report in the quarter when it supposedly happened. It won't be reflected in this quarters' earnings report according to the "upbeat conference call" in which Zander implied (hopefully honestly) that new products had less pressure on them because the old ones are selling so well.

I find cold comfort in that statement. That statement is a stock-dropper. This IBM release combined with Zander's smugness makes it look like Sun is resting on its laurels, an impression you *don't* want the investment community to get even if you can go on hitting within a penny of estimates for the next N quarters.

A fire under their *ss is what they need.
