Mtnlady, first time poster,long-time lurker and reader of the "manual". I also subscribe to Gilder's newsletter and I think it is responsible for(JDSU's)surge today. When discussing Terabeam, mentioned is the need for WDM equipment for their buildout and he mentions a major supplier without being specific. He also mentions SDLI's Raman lasers as not being used-I think they had a little drop today. Anyways I am keeping my rather large (for me) positions in both companies as they have treated me well. I was a bit overweighted in JDSU and as others here have done with QCOM I have trimmed a little for diversification. I enjoy this thread immensely-it is my favorite place on the web-for content,the sense of community, the research you all bring to the table, your "polite disagreements from time to time". Earlier today someone mentioned losing focus-I am not qualified to give an answer but it does seem to ring a little true of late. Last week I had the distinct pleasure of reading the first 1000 posts-couldn't wait to get to late March 99. Keep up the good work you all! Regards, Trip
