actually mrs. H. everyone who held shares, streetname or otherwise, as of whatever the date was.....Aug. ??, 1999 I recall, in ecnc got the 5% dividend of free stock. Kinda a forward split I guess. fwiw

I do my own thinking Mrs. Hogshead. That's why I'm successful at what I do. Offering a 5% stock dividend will drive up the price of the stock and in this case was a manipulative maneuver to create demand from investors not already holding the stock. It's a no-no. Futhermore, the posts here today by 2 employees was an obvious covert attempt to hype a stock in a public forum. That is also a no-no. I just have a problem with inexperienced investors being exposed to this kind of shenannigans. Don't take it personally.
