Intel offered a better price than AMD, and AMD decided not to better Intel's offer. Just like the "BS" comments from AMD's IR! The prototype X-box was reported to have an Athlon 600 on it from various sources. At the last minute MSFT goes with Intel so they have no prototype to show. Intel needed some positive press after all the recent screw ups so they thought it is worth the price. AMD did not. Mani
