BL,
Hi!!

:o) Some folks you just don't bet against...DELL stepped on every land mine imaginable last year...All the while undergoing some long term planning for the future...Shortly the world will see some of these new concepts...Continued cost efficiency will further squeeze the competitors at levels that won't be able to handle..DELL is making every effort to make their entire corporation "frictionless"...
"WE HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS IN SERVICE OVER THE WEB. I BELIEVE THAT WITHIN 18 MONTHS WE CAN ACHIEVE 80% OF OUR SUPPORT TRANSACTIONS TOTALLY ONLINE. THIS WILL NOT ONLY IMPROVE THE LEVEL OF SERVICE FOR OUR CUSTOMERS BUT ALSO DRAMATICALLY LOWER OUR COSTS. IMAGINE THE IMPACTS TO OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE BY CUTTING IN HALF THE TRANSACTION COST PER CUSTOMER ORDER! IN EVERY PART OF OUR COMPANY WHERE WE HAVE A PHYSICAL OR PAPER BASED TRANSACTION, OUR GOAL SHOULD BE TO REPLACE IT WITH AN ONLINE TRANSACTION, OR AT LEAST IMPROVE IT WITH THE INTERNET."

And, then you may wonder why I dream alot huh? Think DELL is finished with 3 pt days? Think again...DELL is just getting started with their 9% of the world wide market...DELL is still in diapers..:o)

Best, Kemble
