Given that Globalstar trades above $12,000 per estimated end-2001 subscribers (versus $9,500 per existing subscriber for Echostar, which has demonstrated its ability to execute), we believe market prices imply near-flawless execution from here on out.

Geez, What were they thinking when G* was trading in the forties !!!

Wrt folks in the developing world not being able to afford a G* ... I take that as very, very short sighted thinking.

The analogy that I hold in high regard is to that of the cost of an Altos Z80, Imsai 8080 or Pascal Microengine back in the mid seventies. Who in their right mind was going to drop $10 grand (and an extra $5 grand to make nice paper copies for friends) on a box which could barely edit words and add numbers?

Build it and they will develop it.

ps The sap is flowing, it's time for Go Loral Go for thirty-four is all i know.
