In sum, I will go back to what Merlin said about when the right time to invest pre tornado is, "when the news makes it obvious that the tornado will form"(sorry mike if thats not exactly how you said it). To me the fact that Carrier and Trane are abandonning their proprietary systems that were so precious to them and incorporating Lon into every device and piece of equipment makes it obvious to me that a tornado will form without doubt. I immediately doubled my position in Elon when he left.

i have enjoyed your skepticism about elon...your industry knowledge has been very helpful to me in my own research on elon. thank you for continuing to do dd and sharing it with us. i remember your earlier posts about various companies not wanting to give up their proprietery control systems for various reasons that you carefully explained.

i consider trane's capitulation to lonworks to be important, especially following honeywell.

i consider your capitulation to be monumental....much more than LB's announcement that he bought some cree...

Blowhard, thanks for the insight on ELON. I am so glad i got that starter kit on 2/24. Now I see its time to re-enforce that army.

RE: QCOM. I'm holding. The most damage I will do is sell some longs in QCOM but buy LEAPS (2002 ITM) to generate some cash to by some ELON or pay the mortgage. (Stock Substitution Therapy)

I hope we can move this thread back a bit toward its Gorilla and King dialog, though we are only a little off course.
