I depend more on chart patterns than on TA. There is a statistical probability that certain patterns have of continuing a trend or breaking out, etc., and these are well known. Now as for fundamentals driving stocks, there are certain types of stocks where this is the case (the "old economy" stocks). But the "new economy" stocks are driven purely by momentum and speculation as far as I can tell.
