This is scary. The only guy who entirely shares my views on this election is the same guy who thinks Sun is guilty of anti-trust violations.

It must be an omen. It's a sign from God. I'm packin' it in.

Adios,

Dear nihil: Jeez, you got Bush already in office. Even Greenspan himself says FIRST lower the debt then IF it is politically impossible to lower the debt more THEN CUT TAXES. He is against increasing spending. Far as I know BOTH Political parties are sworn to protecting SS. One, the Republicans wants to shore it up not only financially but also to allow people to invest a portion of the funds themselves in their own accounts the other wants Government to control it all. Seems to me, if I was younger I would prefer having MY MONEY in MY NAME and not subject to whichever govt is in office.
One GOOD POINT you make is this health care. I am a Republican but I was upset myself when Republicans shot down Clintons plan to lower Medicare to age 55 and let us all under 65 who WISHED to join to pay the entire premium then estimated at around $300 a month. I myself am 56 and retired. I can tell you it is VERY Difficult for a person age 55 and above who is retired to buy adequate health insurance on their own not being in any group. I believe it is fair to say that on average people 55-65 are healthier than people above 65. So if we were in that plan and paid the entire premium ourselves it seems to me that would also help shore up Medicare ie the broader the base and the healthier the base the better for the plan. I realize it was the Republicans who shot that plan down and I am still miffed over it. JDN
