$24.35, down $1.50
Geac Computer Corp.'s stock limped lower yesterday, after the company announced plans to spin off its inteRealty.com division late Thursday and also announced third-quarter results. The market appears to be looking at Geac's third-quarter results, which showed weakness in old businesses, rather than at the potential value inteRealty.com division might have. "The drop today would mostly be related to concerns about the ongoing health of those [older] businesses," CIBC World Markets analyst Paul Lechem told Dow Jones.
