Why? It's not like he is singing anything different than the tune he has been on for quite some time. Sir John T. didn't spook the market for more than a nano second either, way back when. (Now if Harpo came out and said something like that, it would be over.)

The BubbleBoyz and Girlz view them as extinct dinosaurs that just don't understand the New World/pair-o-dimes - just ask Chief BubbleBoy, you know, the one that can't define money, nor manage problems he can't define or tell when there is a bubble until after the fact. -s-

The mob psychology really is something to behold.

Why in the world would the pedantic ramblings of that senile old economy has been deter the neologistic investors that have the vision to realize in the new economy, the G.A.A.P discipline is the only way to invest?

Toungue firmly in cheek,

Barb

PS: G.A.A.P = Growth At Any Price in the above.

won't scare anybody -- just an old duffer that made money the old fashioned-way in the old economy stocks <s>

Thanks for posting, though ...

well, that should elicit a ho ho ho or two...of course we knew this all along. buybacks as they are practiced today are nothing but the US version of Zaitechu. (as are of course the misuse of pension fund profits for earnings massage and the speculating in other cos stocks, as practiced by INTC, MSFT, CMB, CPQ, etc...)

don't expect the bubble-heads to be disturbed by anything Buffet has to say...he's so old era after all.

then again, who knows?
