There seems to be a lot of (legitimate) concern
over whether the 1.5 to 1 distribution will in
fact take place or will 3com do something to
screw it up.
Don't 3com's board members have significant
holdings themselves? Isn't it in their best
interests to see that we shareholders get
maximum benefit, as they probably have even of
their net worth more riding on this??

David, & Mehrdad:
>unless the acquired company were a more exciting and therefore highly valued entity than PALM currently is<

Can't think of anything that could be more exciting than the potential of Palm. I'm willing to wait for the Palm share distribution, but am worried that EB just may try to make an acquisition. If he does, I think it could take years to undo the damage. That's not for the benefit of share holder value. I have been long Coms via USRX purchase and watched the value of my shares fall below my purchase price and stay there for years. I sold all my shares this week when the stock fell below 70 , didn't think it was going to stop. Turned out to be a mistake but I panicked. Bought back in again, not as many shares, but still very long. I believe it has found a bottom, that is, if EB doesn't try an acquisition. Eric, please don't trade our gold mine for a copper pit.
