You're blowing smoke, twister. Try supporting some of your own claims before indignantly demanding additional support for the rebuttals.

JMHO.

twister - re: Does it concern you at all that these things are outselling suncom boxes, or not? If not, why not?

CPQ sells more 8-way xeon servers every quarter than the total number of UE10000s that SUNW has EVER sold. There is no question that 8-way xeon servers outsell UE10000. Also, a 64 processor cluster of those 8-way servers outperforms a 64-way UE10000 by almost 50%, and does it for 20 cents on the dollar.

But no one (except perhaps some overly enthusiastic marketing people in Redmond and Houston) sees that as a "threat" to the UE10000.

So I would say that it does not concern me at all that IBM S80 is outselling UE10000, and the reason why is that I have seen no evidence yet that this has had any effect on the buying habits of UE10000 customers.
