Thanks for the advice on Schwab Canada, Keith. I went back over my trading slips for the last couple of months and recalculated the commissions using E*Trade and Schwab rates comparing them to NetAction (most trades are > $3 stocks and $10,000+ trade). The results:

NetAction 100.0%
E*Trade 88.8%
Schwab Canada 119.6%

The 20% premium for Schwab is worth it to get the allegedly better and faster order execution, unlimited real-time quotes, access to several different research sources (free), and an integrated trading system (net, telephone). Please correct me if i am mistaken on any of these value-added services, plus any major omissions.
