At this point, I'm approaching the market with the mantra "make sure you keep it". Go into each trading day with no expectations, trying not to carry too many overnight positions - sometimes one gets so preoccupied ejecting premarket that the fresh opportunities each day can be missed. And it seems reasonable to be able to get short or even long again on a moment's notice...

I entirely agree with the point about humility - give yourself a little slack on losing days and be extra hard on yourself after big winning days. Make the mental adjustment from dollars to numbers and from passionate to disinterested. If you have a big day, be grateful for what the market has given you and start each day with a blank slate.
