One of the catches is that all of Bernie's
stockoptions vest immediately if he is removed.
Also, what would Bill Gates or Craig McCaw do with
SSL? LOR is much too diversified to be an attractive
target for Gates and McCaw.

I have been wondering if there is something that
the LOR BOD could do to insulate the non-G*
assets of LOR from its G* involvement. Could they
spin the G* shares to stockholders, and find a clever
way of unloading the LOR guarantee provided for G*'s
debt?

I suspect that all non-G* employees of LOR must
be rather steamed up at the thought that their fate
is totally dictated by the success or failure of
G*
